On wednesday, june 15, 2005, joshua "Josh" jerome delaney, 22 years of age, aka "Strap" was shot and killed. At 12:42 am police were dispatched to a reported shooting in the vicinity of london lane and chelton road. Near that location officers located a white jeep cherokee vehicle which had crashed into a wooden fence. In the driver's seat officers found victim joshua delaney, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene. Prior to the shooting, mr. Delaney had been at the platinum 25 nightclub on jetwing dr., which was known to be a gathering spot for members of various area street gangs, and may have become involved in some sort of altercation before leaving the club. Witnesses reported that a short time later the victim's jeep was seen parked on nearby london lane alongside a smaller, dark colored car, and it appears that an occupant of that second car may have been involved in the shooting.
