On march 18, 1991, at approximately 11:15 p.M., ricky allen was discovered by a friend lying on the floor of his residence, unresponsive, with an apparent gunshot wound to his head. Emergency medical response personnel declared the victim dead at the scene. A cocked handgun was in mr. Allen's hand. Crime scene analyst and detectives concluded the scene was staged to make it look like a suicide. Interviews of family and friends as well as evidence recovered from ricky allen's residence revealed he was heavily involved in drugs. The investigation into his death remains open.
