On august 26, 1987, robert lavender was found beaten to death near the colorado river under the broadway bridge. Prior to his discovery, he was last seen walking in the general area of the bridge. Mr. Lavender was a welder and a mechanic with a history of numerous arrests for minor offenses in texas and colorado.
