On november 22, 1978, a colorado springs police department patrol officer discovered 63 year old dr. Neil maceahern fatally shot in a vehicle in the candlelight inn parking lot in colorado springs. The autopsy concluded manner of death was homicide resulting from multiple gunshot wounds. The investigation revealed a high probability this was a robbery and murder. Several items were found missing, as well as scattered a little ways away from the crime scene. The investigation into dr. Maceahern's death remains open.
