Description: Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday night in Rehoboth Beach. On August 1, 2025, at approximately 10:59 p.m., troopers responded to Oyster House Road in Rehoboth Beach for a report of shots fired. When troopers arrived, they searched the area and found a Hyundai Genesis that had been struck by gunfire. The preliminary investigation revealed that the Hyundai was traveling on Oyster House Road when unknown suspects in an unknown vehicle that was traveling behind it fired an unknown number of shots that struck the Hyundai. Two adults were in the car at the time, and no one was injured. The incident remains under investigation. Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed or has information regarding this case to contact Detective P. LaPlaca by calling 302-752-3798.
