On march 22, 1962, officers from the colorado springs police department were dispatched in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, the officer contacted frances blackman. Frances blackman told the officer that she was sitting in her rocking chair inside her home when a man entered her apartment. Ms. Blackman was transported to saint frances hospital where she was treated for a head injury. On june 2, 1962 ms. Blackman died as a result of her injuries and this investigation remains open.
