On november 4, 2018 at approximately 12:29 p.M., lvmpd patrol officers were dispatched to 950 west lake mead boulevard to investigate a report of a shooting. Arriving officers found an adult male lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim’s girlfriend was rendering first aid and the officers assisted until medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported to umc trauma where he was later pronounced deceased. The investigation initiated by the lvmpd homicide section indicated the victim and his girlfriend were walking in front of 950 west lake mead boulevard when a light skinned, black male adult ran up behind them and shot the victim. As the victim laid on the ground, the suspect stood over him and shot him several more times. The suspect fled on foot and then got into a vehicle. Suspect vehiclethe vehicle the suspect got into after the shooting was described as a newer, white mercedes 4-door sedan. A photo of the suspect vehicle accompanies this updated release. Detectives believe that the victim was targeted, and the shooting was retaliatory due to the victim having been involved in a previous altercation.Agency
