On november 26, 2005, at approximately 03:40 a.M., officers responding to a disturbance and shooting at 2555 south chelton road discovered a young male lying on the ground with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest. The young male was identified as kevin jamaal andrews, a 26-year-old black male. Mr. Andrews was pronounced dead at the scene. The autopsy concluded manner of death was homicide resulting from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Witnesses stated mr. Andrews and a hispanic male had an altercation that moved out into the parking lot and involved several individuals when numerous shots were fired. None of the witnesses to the altercation in the parking lot said they saw the actual shooting of mr. Andrews. The investigation into his death remains open. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the colorado springs police department.
