On december 27, 2016 at approximately 6:35 p.M., lvmpd patrol officers were dispatched to the 4900 block of duneville street to investigate reports of gunshots heard. Arriving patrol officers located a male later identified as richard ares, near the front of a building unresponsive and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel transported the ares to the university medical center trauma unit where he was pronounced deceased. The investigation initiated by the lvmpd homicide section indicated the victim confronted several males who were tagging a wall near an apartment complex. Investigators believe a short time after the confrontation, a vehicle described as an older black honda civic drove towards the victim and opened fire.Agency
