At approximately 8:46 am, birmingham 9-1-1 received call regarding a person down in the 4100 block of 43rd avenue north. Upon arrival east precinct officers responded to the location to observe a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham fire and rescue personnel arrived at the scene and declared the victim deceased. Currently, there is no one in custody. If there is anyone who has information pertaining to the case, please contact the b.P.D. Homicide unit @ 205-254-1764 or crime stoppers @ 205-254-7777.
