At approximately 9:37 a.M., officers from the west precinct responded to the 3900 block of mineral ave sw after receiving a call of a person down. Officers arrived on scene and observed the victim who was later identified as marion reynolds lying unresponsive in the street. Reynolds suffered from a gunshot wound which proved to be fatal. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by the jefferson county coroner.The victim was walking his dog when he was shot. Detectives believe the victim was targeted, however a clear motive has not been established. No arrest has been made. The investigation is ongoing.
