On 08/13/2010, 30yr old damis crawford was standing outside the residence with his brother, when a vehicle drove by and the occupant(s) shot several rounds in their direction. Information was provided that the shooting was a retaliation shooting for the death of gang member, who was killed in a gang/drug related shooting. Damis crawford was an innocent man who was standing at the wrong place, at the wrong time. There is no evidence that he had any connection to the other incidents leading up to his death. A suspect was developed in this case; however, there was insufficient evidence to pursue prosecution.
