On september 21, 2013, at approximately 1:44 a.M., lvmpd call center received a 9-1-1 call from a person reporting a male had been had been shot several times in the 6800 block of lone mountain road. Arriving patrol officers and medical personnel responded and discovered a male identified as kristopher stafford, age 23 deceased from gunshot wounds. Homicide-1309210289_staffordtruckthrough the course of the investigation homicide detectives have determined that stafford and another male were driving westbound in the 6800 block of lone mountain road in a blue chevy silverado pickup truck. As they drove through the intersection of rainbow blvd. A black 4-door sedan with silver colored wheels attempted to pass them. As the sedan pulled along, stafford began yelling at the occupants of the sedan. Homicide-1309210289_staffordtruckfrontstafford exited the truck and ran after the sedan. After stafford struck the rear of the sedan it made a u-turn and while stafford was standing near the center westbound lanes in front of 6885 w. Lone mountain road the occupant(s) of the car fired several times at stafford killing him. After the shooting the sedan continued east on lone mountain road and then south on rainbow blvd.Agency
