On the evening of august 20, 1992 the mother of nine month old alexandra elizabeth swauger went out for the evening leaving the infant with her father to care for. On august 21, 1992 at approximately 7:30 a.M., alexandra swauger was discovered deceased in her crib by her mother at their residence located in the 1600 block of annapolis road, odenton, maryland. An autopsy initially revealed the infant died of sudden infant death syndrome and was ruled natural. On may 5, 2000 the autopsy report was reviewed and it was at that time trauma was noted and the manner of death was changed to homicide.
