On sunday, may 21, 1989, at approximately 4:30 a.M., lvmpd patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of s. Commerce st. For a report of a suspicious situation. Officers arrived and met with the person reporting who directed them to the location of an unidentified adult female with multiple blunt trauma injuries and it appeared she was deceased. At approximately 7:45 a.M., the assigned deputy coroner investigator pronounced the adult female deceased at the scene. Lvmpd homicide section and other personnel initiated an investigation into the decedent’s death. On monday, may 22, 1989, the clark county office of the coroner identified the adult female as being tracy jackson (also known as tracy freel and tracy kolias) via fingerprints. On the same date, after a complete autopsy, the chief medical examiner opined the manner of her death was a homicide. The lvmpd homicide section continued their investigation to a point in which there was no new information or leads to follow-up on and the death of tracy jackson is an unresolved murder and there are no known suspects.Agency
