At approximately 10:10 pm, north precinct officers were responding to a shotspotter activation of approximately ten gunshots fired at graymont avenue and center street.While en route, the call was updated to a person shot at 6th avenue w and center street.When officers arrived on the scene, they observed an adult male lying on the ground unresponsive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.Birmingham fire and rescue services arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.The preliminary investigation suggests the shooting began at graymont avenue and center street.
