At approximately 3:40 pm on august 6, 1980, jeffrey bartow, a 22-year-old white man, went to answer a knock at the door to his apartment on the 1900 block of ne 45th avenue when two unidentified armed men forced their way into the apartment. The two unidentified armed men began demanding drugs and money while ordering mr. Bartow and his two associates onto the floor. Mr. Bartow began fighting with one of the men and was knocked to the floor. The two unidentified males then ransacked the apartment and left. After it was safe, mr. Bartow's two associates transported him to a nearby hospital where he died from a wound to the head. It was reported that jeffrey bartow led a lifestyle that involved using and dealing drugs. He was reported to have been associated with those who were dealing drugs. Suspect #1 has been described as a white man, approximately 25 years old at the time, 5’11” tall, thin build with dark hair and a dark brown or black mustache with a possible hair lip. We was wearing at the time of the murder a multicolored striped t-shirt, jeans, and a tan nylon stocking over his face. Suspect #2 has been described as a hispanic or native american man, approximately 21 years old, 5’11” tall with a very husky build, black hair, wearing dark-framed, rounded glasses, an orange t-shirt and blue jeans.Agency
