On april 23rd, 2023, an officer on patrol in the area of webster ave., heard gun shots. The calls to 911 that followed indicated that a man had been shot near webster ave and parsells st. Officers found james huff down on the ground near 204 webster ave. He had been shot multiple times. Huff was transported to strong hospital but did not survive his injuries. It appears that huff was just walking in the area prior to being shot and it was speculated that he was a victim of a drive by shooting.
