At approximately 9:30 p.M., east precinct officers were dispatched to 8300 1st avenue north on report of multiple shot. Officers arrived on the scene and located three people shot. Officers located the following victims: an adult male (driver’s seat), the victim (front passenger’s seat), five-year-old male child (back seat). Birmingham fire and rescue personnel transported all three victims to local area hospitals. The two adult victims suffered life-threatening injuries in this incident. The child suffered non-life-threatening injuries. On saturday, june 12, 2021, the victim succumbed to her injuries at uab hospital. The preliminary investigation suggests the victims were travelling in a vehicle in the 8300 block of 1st avenue north when a vehicle pulled up alongside their vehicle and an unknown suspect(s) began firing shots into the victims’ vehicleAgency
