On wednesday, december 17, 2003, at approximately 10:15 am, jovani jefferson was shot at the corner of 51st and call place, se and later died. When the shooting occurred, a 6-year-old female was hit by a stray bullet while she was walking with her family. She is currently fighting for her life, in critical condition, at an area hospital. This senseless shooting has already led to one death and the hospitalization of an innocent 6-year-old from the neighborhood.
