A 19-year-old young man, and a father to a young boy was shot to death on monday near a community center in the orchard gardens housing development in roxbury becoming boston’s first homicide victims of 2017, according to the police. The shooting occurred on dearborn street at around 7:27 p.M. On january 9, 2017 near a community center that houses the boys & girls club’s orchard gardens club. When the officers arrived on the scene, they located a 19-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim was identified as khisean desvarieux. The boston police homicide unit continues to actively investigate the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
