Just after 10 p.M., east precinct officers were dispatched to a person shot call on interstate-59 south just before the 1st avenue north exit.Officers arrived on the scene when they observed a pink dodge challenger off the roadway. Upon further investigation, officers observed two adult males inside the vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.Birmingham fire and rescue (bfr) personnel arrived and pronounced the victim deceased. Bfr personnel transported the surviving victim to uab hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.The preliminary investigation suggests an unknown suspect(s) shot into the victims’ vehicle in a targeted attack. The suspect(s) fired shots while on interstate-59 south.Agency
