On january 6, 2008, kansas city missouri police officers were sent to 2716 grove regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival officers found that eric l. Davis, 35, and rosalind d. Dawson, 45, had been shot. Rosalind was declared dead at the scene. Eric was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Eric was eventually transferred to an extended care facility. Eric never recovered from his injuries, and he eventually died on april 6, 2009, from complications related to the shooting. The jackson county medical examiner ruled eric’s death a homicide on january 14, 2010. Anyone with information that can help solve this case is asked to call the cold case squad at 816-234-5136.
