Description: Assault. On 07/04/2024, officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of N. Chestnut St. for a disturbance. A 36 year old female was damaging the property of a local business, then attempted to assault employees with large shards of glass. She informed employees she would kill police if they responded. Upon officer arrival, the suspect armed herself with the shards of glass and refused to follow commands. The suspect was tased and taken into custody. Booked at CJC for three counts of Assault on a Peace Officer in the First Degree, Attempted Assault in the First Degree, three counts of Felony Menacing, and Criminal Mischief.
