Description: The Jacksonville Beach Police Department is currently investigating a homicide at the intersection of 4th Street North and 6th Avenue North. At approximately 0105 hours, JBPD dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting a subject was shot at the intersection of 4th Street North and 6th Avenue. Officers arrived one minute later at 0106 hours and found the victim. The officers rendered medical aid until EMTs arrived. JFRD transported the victim to Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. A witness provided information that two black male suspects chased the victim west on 6th Avenue North just past the intersection of 4th Street North and then shot the victim. The witness stated the suspects then fled the scene running south on 4th Street North. The only description available was two thin black males wearing dark clothing. No other information was provided regarding the suspects. There is no other known threat to the public. Victim information is not available currently pending notification of next of kin.
