Description: Three Additional Suspects Arrested in 2023 Murder Investigation new In May 2024, detectives from the Frederick Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit, along with members of the US Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, apprehended three additional suspects connected to the murder of Limber Lopez Funez, which occurred in February 2023. On May 9, 2024, while investigating an unrelated case, detectives from the Major Crimes Unit encountered Asael Ernesto Perez Rojas (DOB: 07/11/2000). Although Perez Rojas initially provided a false name, detectives recognized him and confirmed his true identity. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Accessory After the Fact to 1st Degree Murder and had an active arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on felony drug charges. On May 14, 2024, members of the US Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located Santos Reyes Depaz Cruz (DOB: 08/19/2001) at a residence in Frederick City. Depaz Cruz was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant for 1st Degree Murder related to this investigation. On May 17, 2024, detectives from the Major Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, apprehended Roberto Bladimir Flores Flores (DOB: 04/19/1999). Flores Flores had an active warrant for 1st Degree Murder linked to this investigation. To date, a total of nine suspects have been arrested for their involvement in this murder investigation.
