Please note that specific data with location is provided by a proprietary crime map that restricts SpotCrime from accessing the information. You can read about the methods used to restrict access to Boston crime data in this article on the the Harvard Nieman Journalism Lab Website:
Neighborhood Scout also provides stats on crime data here:

And two links to Boston’s most recent notorious criminals:
Criagslist Killer Phillip Markoff http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Markoff
Markoff was apprehended by the Boston PD after being linked to the murder of Julissa Brisman. He is also suspected of robbing Trisha Leffler and Corinne Stout. He committed suicide in the Nashua Street Jail on August 15, 2010.
And infamous ganster Whitey Bulger http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitey_Bulger
Bulger was a wanted fugitive for sixteen years. He was arrested in June of 2011 at an apartment in Santa Monica with his longtime companion Catherine Greig. Strange fact: In the 1960’s, Bulger was in Leavenworth Prison in Kansas. There he volunteered to take LSD as part of a CIA-sponsored experiment called MK-Ultra.
