At approximately 2:30 am, west precinct officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of avenue f on report of multiple shot spotter alerts.Officers arrived on the scene and observed the victim lying unresponsive on the sidewalk suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers located a second victim (female juvenile) nearby suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham fire and rescue (bfr) personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim lying on the sidewalk deceased. Bfr treated the second victim for a graze wound.The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was with a group of juveniles in the area possibly trying to fight a separate group of juveniles. The altercation led to shots being fired.Agency
