FRAUD. Deputy Walsh made contact with V-1, who advised her daughter, S-1, unlawfully utilized her debit card. V-1 advised on 12-08-2018, she attempted to use her Space Coast Credit Union debit card and realized it was missing from her wallet. Upon checking her recent transaction history, she determined several unauthorized transactions, which were made at a nearby gas station. Upon viewing the video surveillance from the store from 12/07/2018, S-1 was positively identified. Deputy Walsh examined the bank statement provided by V-1 and observed several charges which were believed to be made by S-1. V-1 advised S-1 must have been secretly removing her bank card, using the nearby ATM and returning the card without V-1's knowledge or permission. A charging affidavit was prepared, charging S-1 with Illegal Use of a Credit Card and Grand Theft. Initial attempts to locate S-1 were met with negative results and the affidavit was passed on to the oncoming shifts.
