On december 7, 2013 at 7:58 p.M., a witness called 911 to report hearing gunshots near the elks lodge at h street / owens when she was leaving the dollar store. The witness heard about 10 gunshots but did not see anything. The same witness saw a crowd in the parking lot of the business and believed they were fighting. Lvmpd officers arrived discovered joseph jefferson lying on the ground, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Numerous witnesses were interviewed who all described an unknown black male shooting in the parking lot. No leads were obtained to identify a suspect.Agency
