The victim, darrell prilliman, a 40-year-old, free-lance pilot, was last seen on april 6, 1980, at a bar inside the holiday inn hotel at I-29 and 291 highway. The victim responded to the bar to meet a man who wanted to hire him for a job flying parts to oil fields in oklahoma city. The victim arrived at the bar at approximately 7:30 p.M. And met with an individual who identified himself as pete peterson. The victim left the bar with subject peterson and never returned. Subject peterson returned to the bar at approximately 9 p.M. Dressed in different clothing. The victim’s body was discovered may 4, 1980, in a partially wooded area at n. 108th and skyview. The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was involved in a highly contested divorce involving custody of his children. The victim’s wife and mother in-law made threats to harm him. The victim’s vehicle was discovered abandoned in long-term parking lot “e” at kci airport on april 8, 1980. A heavy concentration of blood was found on the passenger-side floor of the vehicle.
