Orting Police detectives need your help to identify the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of 53-year-old Michael Compton. At 3:15 a.M. On Wednesday February 19th, 2014, the body of homicide victim Michael Compton was found in the front yard of Compton’s residence, located in the 500 block of Ford Lane SW in the City of Orting. The victim had been shot in the head by an unidentified suspect(s). Detectives believe Compton may have been shot during a struggle after interrupting a burglary in his garage sometime between 1:00 a.M. And 3:00 a.M. Detectives are looking for information on any suspicious persons and/or vehicles seen in the victim’s neighborhood in the early morning hours of Wednesday February 19th.
