On thursday, november 19, 1981, at approximately 12:15 a.M., as closing time approached at the j & j bar, the bar employee, sara (sally) earwood began the process of closing down for the night. It was during this time; sara was attacked and stabbed multiple times by her assailant. Evidence shows the attack began inside the bar. Sara managed to make it outside and collapsed in the parking lot where she succumbed to her injuries. The bar owner, william goodrum drove to the bar to check on sara. This is when he found sara in the parking lot. Goodrum called 911. The cash from the bar was missing. Detectives spoke with nearby residents and were unable to locate any eyewitnesses. The j & j bar is located at 10300 fulton in north houston. There is no current suspect information.
