Robbery on 6500 BLOCK OF N. TRYON STREET, CHARLOTTE, NC

North Tryon Division officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have arrested Juan Carlos-Peole Romero, DOB: 02/18/1977, for his involvement in an armed robbery case. On November 20, 2012, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to an armed robbery call for service at 6500 N. Tryon Street. The victim stated she was walking to a friend’s house in the area when the suspect pulled up in a car, jumped out of the vehicle, and robbed her at gunpoint. The suspect removed the victim’s purse and drove away. The victim called 9-11 with a detailed description of the suspect and the plate number of the vehicle he was traveling in. A short time later officers observed the vehicle in the 1100 block of W. Sugar Creek Rd. Information and evidence gathered during the investigation implicated Peole-Romero in the robbery.
