Burglary on 3200 BLOCK OF SARGEANT DRIVE, CHARLOTTE, NC

Westover Division Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have arrested Unique Demby, DOB: 07/02/1995, and Zachary Tyrone James, DOB: 10/16/1992, for their involvement in a recent residential breaking and entering case. On Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a breaking and entering call for service at a home in the 3200 block of Sargeant Drive. The victim stated that she returned home and observed a broken kitchen window and strange male in her home who exited the side door. The victim called 9-11 and gave the telecommunicator a detailed description of the suspect. Officers arrived on the scene and established a perimeter in the area, but the suspect managed to elude officers. Excellent communication between division officers, detectives, and members of the division’s Focused Mission Team were critical in this investigation that implicated both suspects in the break-in. As a result, both suspects were arrested without incident and were charged with breaking and entering with force and felony larceny.
