Police News Posted on: September 20, 2012 Alcohol in Carroll Creek Linear Park leads to Drug Arrest On 09/20/2012, Cpl. Snyder was on routine patrol in Carroll Creek Linear Park when he observed a male and a female subject under the mural bridge. These subjects appeared to be drinking from containers with a brown paper bags around the outside of the container. These two subjects were contacted by Cpl. Snyder who confirmed that they were drinking alcoholic beverages within the park. After placing the male under arrest it was determine from a search incident to arrest that the male was in possession of marijuana and a smoking device. The male subject was identified as a Ricky Lee Schroyer 11/24/1958. The female was identified as a Alice Wars Butler 03/22/1953 Frederick municipal ordinance 6-8 prohibits the possession or consumption of intoxicating beverages while in city parks. The Frederick Police Department is committed to addressing quality of life issues within the city. The department will continue to partner with city residents and business owners in furtherance of this goal. Arrestees: 1. Ricky Lee Schroyer 11/24/1958 100 blk S.
