Just before 12:00 am this morning, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a home in the 500 block of Willow Avenue for a report of an altercation between the homeowner and an acquaintance, who’d reportedly forced his way into the home, punching the homeowner in the face before threatening him with a handgun. The homeowner was able to push the acquaintance from the residence before the man fled; he has since been identified as 34 year old Joseph Jerome Page Jr. of Taneytown.
Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to locate Page, and an unknown black male approximately 5-11” tall who reportedly accompanied Page to the home. They left the scene in a 2005 Silver Infinite SUV, Maryland registration 6AJ8179. The vehicle is registered to Page’s estranged girlfriend, who reported it missing on September 11th. A criminal summons charging Page with unauthorized use of the vehicle, and a warrant for unrelated drug charges are currently on file with the Sheriff’s Office. An arrest warrant including charges related to last night’s assault has also been obtained. Page is a black male approximately 6’ tall, weighing 160lbs with brown eyes and short black hair.
