Around 7pm Saturday night officers responded to the KFC located at 6219 Belair Road for a commercial armed robbery. Upon arrival the manager advised the store was robbed by two unidentified males. The suspects took an undetermined amount of US Currency. Suspect #1 was described as a black male, wearing a light grey hooded jacket, light blue jeans. Suspect #1 entered the store from the south entrance and immediately pulled a silver handgun. He ordered the customers in the store to get on the ground. suspect #1 then jumped the counter and got the money from the drive-through and front register. After taking the money from both registers the suspect jumped back over the counter and fled through the south entrance. Suspect #2 is described as a black male wearing a dark colored hoodie with a patch on the shoulder and denim blue jeans. He entered the location through the south entrance with suspect #1. Suspect #2 stood by the south entrance as a look-out and was watching the customers who were on the floor. Suspect #2 told the customers to stay on the floor. Suspect #2 fled with suspect #1 through the south entrance after suspect #1 got the money from the cash registers. The suspects fled through the rear parking lot of the KFC and southbound Marluth Avenue. There were no injuries during this incident. The Citywide Robbery Unit is handling. View Source.
