Arrest - XX N. MARKET ST, FREDERICK, MD

On 08/24/2012, officers with the Directed Patrol Unit were conducting an operation in the 1st blk of N. Market St for continued complaints of loitering and panhandling. Officers were able to observe a subject who was identified as Robert Dale Murray accost a citizen and ask him for money. After officers confirmed this they placed the Murray subject under arrest for panhandling. City of Frederick municipal ordinance 15-27.2 prohibits panhandling.
The Frederick Police Department is committed to addressing quality of life issues within the city. The department will continue to partner with city residents and business owners in furtherance of this goal.
