Arrest - RUTLEDGE PLACE, FREDERICK, MD

On 06/25/2012 at approximately 1148 hours Officer Kevin Meyer was on routine patrol when he observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of Rutledge Place. He approached the vehicle and recognized the driver as someone he had previous contact with. As HQ was doing a warrants check on the subject Officer Meyer observed the subject concealing a foil object in his hand. After a brief discussion the subject gave Officer Meyer a pill for which he could not provide a prescription. The officer again inquired about the foil object. The subject then presented him with a small manmade envelope that contained shaving from suspected crack cocaine. HQ then advised that the subject had active paperwork. The subject was taken into custody and searched incident to arrest. The foil object was recovered from his waistband and it contained suspected crack cocaine.
