A simple probation check led to evacuation of homes in Stones Throw near Glasgow after discovery of a suspected pipe bomb, which was later found to be inert, police said Wednesday. County police also seized two assault rifles, other guns, ammo, homemade suppressors or silencers, narcotics and paraphernalia at a town house in the 800 block of Cobble Creek Curve, according to court records. Convicted felon Drew R. Chicklo, 26, was sent to Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington, when he was unable to post a total of $134,000 secured bail on 21 charges, Cpl. John Weglarz Sr. said. According to court documents, Chicklo was banned from having firearms or ammunition after a 2011 domestic violence assault conviction. View Source.
