Robbery on 4100 BLOCK OF HIGHWAY 278 NE, COVINGTON, GA

02/13/2012.
On 02/13/12 at approximately 10:00 p.m. the Covington Police Department was dispatched to an armed robbery at the Covington Pizza Hut on Hwy 278. Upon arrival officers spoke with multiple victims involved in this incident. An employee stated that he was surprised by two black males as he exited the back door to dispose of garbage. This witness stated that one of the suspects cocked an unknown caliber handgun and threatened him not to look at either of the suspects. This witness stated that these suspects then removed the victim’s belt and tied his hands behind his back. According to this witness the two suspects escorted him back into the store and ordered him to the ground. Once inside the store, the suspects ordered several other employees to the floor, tied each up, and took cash and cell phones from each employee. The suspects attempted to make entry into the store safe and also attempted to take one of the victim’s vehicles unsuccessfully. The suspects fled on foot. One of the suspects is described as a B/M, 6’5” ,260-300 lbs., last seen wearing a black ski mask, blue sweatshirt and grey pants.
