Robbery on 500 BLOCK OF S. MARTIN LUTHER KING BLVD, DAYTONA BEACH, FL

Armed Robbery On 03-12-2012 at approximately 2255 hrs the victim was working at the MLK Mini-Mart. While behind the counter the suspect entered the store wearing a black shirt, black pants, and a black mask with a red mouth. The suspect produced a handgun, pointed it at the victim, and demanded money. The victim grabbed the suspect’s gun and a struggle ensued. The victim was pulled over the counter onto the floor. The suspect, during the struggle fired at least two shots at the victim. The victim received a gunshot wound to the left hand and left knee. The victim finally complied and gave the suspect approximately $1,700. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim advised that during the struggle the suspect’s mask fell off and he recognized the suspect as a prior customer. A review of the video shows a possible second suspect entering the store just prior to the suspect. The video is not available at this time.
